New York City ended September with an inspirational event thanks to a joint effort by Reverend Al Shapton<\/strong> and the National Action Network<\/strong> who held the 12th annual Triumph Awards early this week. Hundreds gathered at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Wednesday evening to honor national leaders in entertainment using their platforms to advocate justice and equity across the country.<\/p>\n This year, the award recipients included Emmy Award winner, actress and singer\u00a0Sheryl Lee Ralph<\/strong>,\u00a0Grammy Award winning and Academy awarded filmmaker Ahmir \u201cQuestlove\u201d Thompson<\/strong>\u00a0Will Packer<\/strong> as well as Fashion Bomb Daily<\/em>\u2018s CEO and Founder, Claire Sulmers! <\/p>\n In her \u2018Triumphant Woman of the Year\u2019 acceptance speech, Claire shared \u201cWhile the fashion industry in the United States has made many positive strides for diversity and inclusion, the world has a ways to catch up. I can stand with my head held high on the frontlines and on the front row in\u00a0Paris, knowing that I have the support of my community.\u00a0May we continue to be, as former President\u00a0Barack Obama once said about Reverend\u00a0Al Sharpton, \u2018a voice for the voiceless and a champion for the downtrodden\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n For this night to remember, Claire was dressed in all black designers, including shoes by Jessica Rich<\/a>, HOME by Areeayl<\/a> earrings and Look 1 from Aisha McShaw<\/a>\u2018s Spring-Summer 2023 collection entitle \u2018The Evolution of Love\u2019. The designer was also present at for the award ceremony.<\/p>\n We would like to thank NAN and Rev.
